Stillmeadow Road

“Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.” 1 Thessalonians 4:11,12

This has long been our ambition, and after 8 years of searching and learning, here we are at Stillmeadow. In the spring of 2012, my husband Bill and I purchased a 1930s log cabin on nine acres of beautiful property in rural Oregon. We homeschool our three children Sam, Lucy, and Claire; and manage a small homestead of sheep, goats, geese, chickens, and bees, as well as a large vegetable garden, orchard, and berry patch. Our home is filled with good food, books, and music, and we are blessed to be part of a pleasant and friendly community.
